Ananse World, are Ghana Comics where Afreeka Radio Projects present other content some of which are not directly related to the other three-Ananse Amazon, Ananse Universe and Ananse Atlantic. Those projects refer respectively to the trilogy of books, The Chronicles of Een, The Chronicles of Muna and The Chronicles of Irofo.
Many paths will lead you to your fate, but only one direction will lead you to your destiny.
Take that one thought, follow one path, and focus on one direction to succeed.
It has been said that the absence of light is darkness and the presence of light is the omission of darkness.
It can be said that without darkness we cannot see the light and it is through darkness we acknowledge how bright life can be.
To see into the dark would require that you came from the light and so conclude, one cannot exist without the other.
You must know then, that darkness is always and but for the opening of its eye, there would be no light.
Let not this eye choose to see, for from this void will emerge a spark, a disease, a prismic light of colours carrying an infinite expanse of chaos.
Do not be fooled by the beauty that follows, for its age it shall be brief, as each colour journeys only to return to its source and for each destination that shines brightness, be sure that the Dark Expanse will reclaim it as its own.
Know then, that such an event has begun, the spark of all cosmic things and the prisonic evolution of life, spawned through the birth of light, when sparked at its brightest,
The Afreeka Radio Project takes a look at the first stages of creating scenery and worlds for Ananse Universe Ghana Comic, Chronicles of Muna.
This series of graphics and audio video workshop images will focus on the moons, planets and Scf-fi characters for the off world adventures. In addition we will probably work on creating space station platforms, orbiting land masses as well droids and robots.
Nyabot and Anabot monster creations battle it out after fusing with “Ghaladamite Ore”. In the Ghecos Universe, Ghaladamite Ore is a special chemical compound that animates dead or inorganic matter. It features in the trilogy Chronicles of Een, Chronicles of Muna and Chronicles of Irofo as the key ingredient that enables both organic creatures and machines to mobilise their own kind of robots.
We know of the usual kind, the terminators of these worlds, but there are 3 in total, Organic Robots, Machine Robots and Organic Machine Robot Hybrids.
The test movie features a basic and rough design of a Nyamite Organic Robot. The other two types of robotic creatures feature in the Chronicles of Muna.
The organic robots are designed with plants, trees and Nyamite and Anasite creatures in mind. Nyamite robots descended from Nyame are referred to as Nyabots and Anasite descended robots, Anabots. Ghana Comics, Ghana Comic Network
From a design perspective you got to love the female form. The sophisticated attention to detail of hair variations like eyelashes to curves of the body such as breasts provides so many ideas in which to craft the anatomy of beautiful biped bodies in our trilogy.
As we explore, the female form it will play a major role in the design of Nyamites and Anasites for the Ghecos evolving population.
We start off our female design investigation by taking a look at the Ananse Atlantic female Nyamites. Females in the Ghecos Universe have several forms they can materialise into, depending on whether they are on land or in water. Nyamite females – more Human than Alien, from Ananse Atlantic are no different, some not all, can exist on land as bipeds and in water as mermaids. They are designed to be hunter gatherers of ocean and land wildlife and plants.
Soon we will take a look at Anasite Females more Alien than Human who also have similar capabilities, but on the other hand are more a kin to vampire and vulture predators and tend to feed on Nyamites and have some cannibalistic tendencies. They also hunt in packs , the largest sea creatures, for their bites are either lethal or transforming – that is if ocean victims don’t die from bites, they undergo a metamorphosis and become hideous versions of their original selves, Anasite monsters.
Monster Choreography, is probably one of our greatest challenges, especially during battle scenes.
During the rebirth of Ananse, he faces a creature born of his own blood. The creature knows nothing but hate and anger, and mistaking his creator for a foe tries to kill Ananse. Ananse flees from the Monster because at his rebirth he is unaware of his strength and capabilities as the son of the God Nyame.
However, we created a test clip to look at something else-Choreography.
As such we chose to assume that even creatures as dark as this, sometimes need to let their hair down and get their groove on, even if it’s for just a minute…we also added a snippet from the Sound track we’re creating for Ghana Movie Music. Ghana Comics, Ghana Comic Network
